Why we built it this way
Most small inventory tools give you a number and no way to argue with it. Most systems that do give you an audit trail are priced and scoped for much larger operations.
MerchantPlay takes one position: every stock movement is recorded permanently and linked to the operation that caused it. Purchasing, transfers, sales, fulfilment, returns and counts all write to the same history. Nothing is edited after the fact — mistakes are corrected with a reversing entry, so the record shows both what went wrong and how it was put right.
